Assistant Commercial Property Manager
Phoenix, AZ Temporary $25.00 - $35.00/hr Onsite

Job Description

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the management of a portfolio of commercial properties (office, retail, and/or industrial) in the Phoenix area. This role partners closely with the Property Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, strong tenant relationships, and optimal financial performance of the assets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of commercial properties, ensuring operational excellence
  • Serve as a key point of contact for tenants, addressing requests, concerns, and service issues
  • Coordinate maintenance and vendor services, including janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, and repairs
  • Track and manage work orders, ensuring timely completion and follow-up
  • Support lease administration, including abstracts, renewals, amendments, and compliance tracking
  • Monitor rent collections, prepare delinquency reports, and assist with tenant communications
  • Review and code invoices, assist with CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations, and budget tracking
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain quality, safety, and curb appeal
  • Assist with tenant move-ins/move-outs and space readiness coordination
  • Maintain accurate property records, contracts, and documentation
  • Support financial reporting, variance explanations, and budget preparation
  • Ensure compliance with lease terms, local regulations, and company policies

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of commercial property management, real estate, or related experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial leases, property operations, and tenant relations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred
